LLM Router Access

How employees can request and safely use access to the itemis LLM Router.

The itemis LLM Router gives employees one central access point for approved AI models. It is intended to make AI access simpler, fairer, and safer than managing separate tool or provider accounts.

All AI requests should go through this central access point once access has been granted.

Why use the router

  • Available models are managed in one place.
  • Costs can be tracked and budgets can be assigned per employee or project.
  • Models can be exchanged without changing every client setup.
  • Local models can be integrated, giving itemis more control over data protection.

Data Protection

Do not send personal, confidential, or otherwise sensitive data to external models.

For local models, itemis controls the processing environment. For external providers, the provider’s data protection terms apply. The team is working to ensure that every model made available through the router meets the necessary data protection requirements.

Until that work is complete, keep sensitive data out of external models.

N8N Workflows

An additional N8N service is available on request. It can use virtual keys from the LLM Router and allows colleagues without programming experience to create and test workflows in a visual interface.

Example workflows, success stories, and short workshops are planned. A programming setup example is available in this Google Drive video.

Chat and research

You can continue using Google Gemini for chats and research. The router adds more options for trying and productively using models from other providers.

Request access

To request access, complete this short quiz.

  • You can take the quiz as many times as needed.
  • After each attempt, you receive guidance on the correct answer.
  • The quiz confirms that the most important usage and data protection points are understood.

Afterwards, you receive access to the itemis LLM Router and a monthly free quota for experimenting.
